Shalinda Bollar is 19 years old and resides in Rochester, NY. Following years of experience as a youth organizer, Shalinda works as an Associate Coordinator at The Center for Teen Empowerment. Young people regularly tell Shalinda how she inspired them to choose alternatives to resist the lures of street life. Her involvement in a youth-adult partnership to end the school-to-prison pipeline in Rochester schools earned her a “Princeton Prize on Race Relations” in 2017.
